Lollipop Farm Train\nEvery Saturday\, 10 AM - 2 PM at the John Gardiner Fa
rm\n*Last Day - October 17th*\nLollipop Farm\, on the corner of Jackson Av
enue and Jericho Turnpike\, in Syosset closed in 1967\, and the Lollipop F
arm Train was put into storage. Over the next 45 years\, it changed hands
many times until the Greenlawn-Centerport Historical Association (GCHA) de
cided to take on the huge task of restoring it to its former glory.\nMany
members of the GCHA\, some of whom have vast experience restoring old vehi
 cles\, worked endlessly prepping\, painting\, welding\, preparing\, and la
ying track to get the Lollipop Train ready!\nPeople came to the Lollipop F
arm in droves from all of Long Island\, New York City\, and Connecticut!\n
If you have a grandparent who grew up around here\, ask them\, they will r
emember so fondly - and now they would like to visit and have you ride the
train all over again!\n Children who are too small to ride alone must rid
e with a parent or guardian. Riders must remain seated without assistance\
, be able to hold on\, and follow basic instructions.
